have you ever been to Venice, CA? Yes the nice parts near the coast for sure is funky but is it even a city? I know Santa Monica and Maria Del Rey are. Venice is a neighborhood of LA city; MDR is an unincorp. area of LA county. With that ad, I was trying to show you how crazy real estate is in LA and SF. That house should be worth about $500K [for the land] but it will get 1 million +.
