I trust even the greenest greens here realize the absolute impossibility of what that man is asking - absolute impossibility. Anyone who believes we are going to leave most of the carbon in the ground is absolutely absolutely absolutely delusional. A while back I spoke about the time constant of systems - tau - and how long it takes to change the course of a large system.

If what he says is true - any money spent on that is an absolute waste - and if one actually worries about this crap they should be focusing on mitigation.
