Windows will NOT access both a cloned disk and the original if they are both installed in your computer. If you try this, one of the disks will get disabled, and if you investigate using Disk Manager, it will report that you have a Disk Signature Collision.

Not really... I just cloned with Easeus from a 540 MB disk to a 250 MB SSD with both in the computer and now all work well ; I changed the Boot disk in the bios and kept the orig disk in the computer. Note that I had only 134MB of used space on the disk so EaseUS does not clone blank space ! However i discovered other issues that should be in instructions but are not and caused me hours of concern and re-cloning. One thing is to "turn-off' "system restore " before cloning so that you erase all restores on your disk. in my case when i cloned onto to the SSD all of a sudden I "lost " 70MB of data but could not find out where. It turns out that it appeared that the cloning copied the 70MB of restores but then immediately the os made it disappear. This is really an advantage but a surprise when you do not know about it.
