Do you have a provision to mark lots in your on line software? For example: If I have a long term core holding in a stock with substantial capital gain and I want to buy and sell additional lots the IRS will assume FIFO unless I have a written confirmation from the broker indicating which lot I have sold. I rarely have access to a phone during trading hours so I can not talk to a broker directly. I need to find an online broker that offers this service.

Many stock traders do not sell their entire position including myself. The tax consequences can be substantial if one does not have the capability of marking lots. I have queried several online brokers and have not found this capabilty yet. I find it a significant disadvantage for online trading yet I can not see that it would be that difficult to include in your software.

Thanks for listening
