"How do you explain god getting angry with Adam for taking an apple from the tree of knowledge?"

God Created Adam and Eve and placed them in a paradise with only one Law. God set a line in the sand and Adam willfully crossed it knowing beforehand that there would be serious consequences for doing so. God would not be just if he didn't punish lawbreakers. You've asked a serious question. The issues surrounding the Fall of Man and God's ultimate purpose to redeem and restore all of Creation has been the subject of serious debate among Christians for centuries. Such a question is not well served with one line answers but for starters, God demonstrates all of His attributes (love, justice, mercy, grace, wrath against sin etc etc) in the Creation of the universe, the subsequent Fall of Man and the promised Redemption through Messiah. You will have to do some reading from serious sources, but I would advise you to start by reading the first three chapters of Paul's letter to the Romans. If you do that I'll give you some other sources to check out.
