cloud financials are deceptive though... I don't know how box does business. But in a typical cloud software deal for $3mm, whereas in the past a software company would just bill the $3mm- a cloud company will bill only 1/6 of that, AT THE MOST. about $1mm will be deferred as billings and the rest is a term license which is just paid month to month but not booked or reflected other than the estimates the company gives analysts.

Then the company reports losses on their financials, but this is no different than me writing off my mortgage and the kitchen sink as a business expense while my equity goes up.

I'm not sure if box is like that, but it could be. Either way I'm not convinced that space is not a commodity so not sure.
