"I complained in tweets and on MSNBC that Michelle Obama seemed to be muzzling herself on her China trip, by declining to take reporters and saying she would avoid politics. But either I spoke too soon or she changed her plans. In fact, she has been outspoken in talking about free speech and human rights, and she did it in a non-judgmental way that will be more effective in China. So good for her."
