I can see Samsung falling on their rear end with Tizen.

Samsung Won’t Dump Android for Tizen, Says Jefferies
Following Samsung Electronic’s ( 005930KS) having dumped Google’s ( GOOG) Android last month for its
second generation of smartwatches, the “Gear 2,” Jefferies & Co. analyst Hyunwoo Doh today writes that
Samsung is likely to stick with Android for its smartphones for the foreseeable future.

There has been speculation in past that Samsung might pursue the “Tizen” operating system as an alternative
for its smartphones to Google’s Android. Last month, Samsung announced the Gear 2 would no longer use
Android and instead is running Tizen, perhaps raising some suspicion that Samsung will go further with Tizen
