You're proposing something for RNA that it doesn't do now. And how were proteins made without ribosomes? Where did the encoded information in RNA come from?

Once protean based cell metabolism evolved the far less efficient RNA only organisms went extinct.

Why would they be less efficient? These theoretical RNAonly organisms should have been more efficient if they could do without ribosomes.

Taking DNA out of the picture and leaving only RNA doesn't solve anything. RNA is encoded as well.
