I was addressing what I know to be the Christian idea of "personal God". I WAS NOT taking sides in your contretemps with DAK.
Of course I am critical of Christianity. It is transparently silly. The idea of a "Creator" is not necessarily silly. But Jewish/Christian mythology destroys any and all Divine claims by the very "scriptures" which comprise it. Nonsense is nonsense. Absurdity is absurdity. Cruelty is cruelty. Tribal ignorance is tribal ignorance. A psychotic, ridiculous, inept, and bizarre "god" is a contradiction in terms.
There are wonderful philosophies (such as Buddhism) which can provide a framework for human existence, interaction, and growth. Why do you cling to something so absurd and transparently stupid? |
