[Buyout]

Mark Twain, "The report of my death was an exaggeration."

Whether Cioffi likes the terms may have little to do with whether he tendered. You'd have to phone the company and get a definite answer as I'm speculating based on being told the board had to.

Dr. Cioffi has a long and amicable history with TI and the hold-up with his contract could have more to do with Stanford than with not liking the buyout.

Lots to consider.

Hey, I don't like losing Amati, either, but with the market the way it is and the telcos delaying the way they have, I'm certainly glad not to be riding the rollercoast down one more time. Life's too short.

Don't worry. The fat lady may be warming up, but she hasn't sung yet.

Pat
