I agree.

Let them FAIL.

But then the PROBLEM is that they AUTOMATICALLY pass a lot of their losses along to the federal and state TAXPAYERS or even directly to consumers because they burden the Deposit Insurance Fund with their losses.

(And that is EXACTLY why I said that is the heart of the problem.... We need to break the link between their bad/risky behavior and *our* paying the bills for that.)
