It was all but a given, especially with all the talk from all the bulls about this approaching supposed bullish golden cross. You had to know those controlling this market would want to put that fire out. Sadly just a matter of the timing and may not be finished yet. We need to get through tomorrow and into the April delivery month. This is all about persuading as many longs as possible from standing for delivery in the April delivery month and a pattern that has been seem a million times. If nothing else, manipulated or not, there is a pattern and if you have watched the charts closely enough and long enough it's not hard to spot and play for that matter. I don't know how many times on this move down I setup a futures GC contract short trade only to be afraid to pull the trigger and hit the transmit button and then miss the move along with a very good profit. I'm still learning and figuring out these markets ans there supply and demand levels and only have a small account so look for and wait for the highest probability trades with the least risk and highest reward. I do have a long setup in gold at the 1286.50 level with a tight $100 stop vs an initial upside target of 1310 which would pay $2350 if it worked. Futures markets offer some good return if you pick your zones carefully keep your stops tight and your targets realistic. I'll be in class for the Futures teaching next month from the 14th - 18th and will probably be trading equities less and less with the exception of holding some key miners that should offer some good returns over the next year or two.
