There are lots of fish in the sea.

That's the problem. There aren't lots of fish in the sea. Overfishing is a serious problem. All major fishery stocks are down to but a small fraction of what they used to be. As a result, fishermen are harvesting deeper and deeper. The problem is, deeper waters are cold. And that means the fish there grow very slowly. And that means they get overfished a lot sooner.

Take orange roughy. Catch peaked in 1990 at about 90k tons. It is now down around 10k tons. And falling.

Really, try to educate yourself on these issues.
