John, K6-250 (100x2.5) might be as fast as PII-266, but, not as fast as PII-300 due to its 150Mhz L2 cache. It would be a great achievement for AMD. K6-300 on 100Mhz bus speed would be faster than PII-300. Of all socket 7 chipsets that I benchmarked, Ali makes the best IDE driver which increase Business Winstone97 rating significantly. I expect that K6-300 (100x3) on Ali's Alladin V based motherboard might be at least 5% faster than PII on LX motherboard.
