Dan,

If Samsung or other Korean manufacturers will not go bankrupt, QCOM's royalties and ASICs will continue to roll in while everybody is concern about SEA. Exactly the reasoning you mentioned on your post, Samsung can sell CDMA phones at a cheaper price to Japan and continue to purchase a large quantity of ASICs from Qualcomm. Ther are always opportunities for QCOM and Korean manufacturers even in this type of turmoils. Do you agree?

The fourth largest Japan's brokerage firm went south a while ago, I bet the rest of Japan's solevent brokerage firms are pretty happy about it. Because, they picked up free clients from that firm.

An old Chinese phrase "peril and oppertunity". They come hand in hand.

Happy investing everyone.
