I believe I pointed out years ago on this thread -- maybe a decade or more ago, that Texas was a sensible application for high-speed rail. Specifically because it could be privately funded since ridership would be adequate to generate a return on the investment. Which is what is under consideration.

Which is under consideration but going no where.

All public transport needs some form of gov't subsidy including airports and freeways. Its a concept you all can't seem to get thru your heads.
