Everyone in my family and all my friends went mostly to public schools and none of us had any problems. So I am always baffled by what I hear the right wing say about them. Why didn't any of us have any problems?

I do have several friends that either send their kids to charter schools or are home schooling them and they are all religious and did not go to college themselves.

Public schools are the foundation of a free society.

My guess is that many of these right wingers don't like them because they, or their kids have trouble passing their public school courses.

How often have you seen a parent say: "my kid is so smart school bored him"? I never saw a parent of a kid doing well in school say that. If it is so easy take your A and daydream the rest of the time.

Kids who understand education do not get bored by school. Who gets bored by school are the kids who do not understand education.

If a kid does not understand the material they will get bored. A book will bore a person who is illiterate, but not someone who is literate.
