The Catholic school that my son goes to has a population of only 60% Catholic. Common core is likely to be a boom for Catholic schools. He is in 9th grade (he started at this school in 6th grade). He has an A in Geometry and is in his fourth year of Chinese. If he was doing common core curriculum, he'd be learning to avoid memorizing the multiplication tables about now instead of having an education that will actually help him in college and in life.
