Sorry to be too late with this reply to help with 2013 taxes.

I simply make copies of all of the IB "Worksheet for Form 8949" pages and label them at the top "Attachment D-1, Attachment D-2, etc.and then include them in my 1040 return. Then on the (up to possibly 6) regular IRS Form 8949 sheets I simply copy the appropriate total line on a single line, shown as "From Attachment D-x" with the dates bought and sold as "various", and include the "W" code if it appears.

I file my return as a paper copy and have never used Turbo Tax, since I have never figured out how to include the IB 8949 pages as electronic attachments.

As best as I can figure out, this approach fully meets the IRS requirements to list every single trade on Schedule D (except for trades in futures and future options which thankfully are not required to be detailed, as they are reported in total on Form 6781).

Finished up and mailed last Monday. I've been doing this for several years and it's never been questioned.

I usually wait until mid-March to download the IB 1099 and 8949 to give them time to post all of the corrections and updates that seem to invariably occur in February.
