It is possible that the GEMS fiasco may have provided some information about PCS Primeco being slower to market. Maybe it indicates that PCS Primeco just doesn't want to pay its bills until everything is up and generating revenue. But I am also tending to agree with Chris that GEMS is primarily a base station provider for narrowband PCS and so it may not provide much specific information concerning Qualcomm. All it does is add to the uncertainty that PCS PrimeCo is behind because of Qualcomm. But, given Chris' comments about delays in relocating frequencies it may only indicate that PCS PrimeCo is behind and it has nothing to do with Qualcomm technology problems! Hopefully this is the case, and Esprey of Sprint's comments (thanks to Phillip M.)suggests they will be up with PCS in 11 markets by the end of this year (I assume we are talking calendar year 1996). So, that sounds pretty good and what is the crisis all about?
