I believe in God. I believe in science. There is no inherent conflict there. The only conflict comes from ignorance. Bible literalists are a throwback to more ignorant times. Just remember that Islamic Koran literalists are causing quite a few problems in the modern world. Christian Bible literalists are just less violent in their expression of their own ignorance. I think everyone should reconcile their favorite religious book with modern day science and get into this century. When this topic comes up, my favorite Catholic priest loves to say, "God gave us all a brain. I suggest we all begin to use it."
