More about Adelson:
There is all this talk about "quid pro quo" as far as "campaign contributions" vs bribes. During the Republican primary presidential debates, Newt Gingrich, out of the blue said if he gets elected president, the first thing he would do is to bomb Iran. The next day it was revealed in the papers that Sheldon Adelson had given Newt $5 million to shore up his bankrupt campaign. He had given him money in the past but this was a big pop.

Sounds like that was a bribe.
