Well...............after much hemming and hawing as well as a lot of research, I decided after having worked with a Win 7 OP on a friend's computer I'd be more comfortable with it, so this is what I bot:

us.acer.com

You can't find a computer in a store with Win 7 installed, so I bought it from AZ. I'm not happy it's going to take up to two weeks for delivery, but I'll be happy if it is as reliable as my last Acer.

I actually am a little perplexed about their delivery system. I got a confirmation email on the purchase, and then about two hours later I received an email telling me it had been shipped by the supplier, and to expect delivery between Monday April 14 and Tuesday April 29. I guess my question would be, if it was shipped (from Cali...........I live in WA.) on April 7th why such a huge difference between shipping and delivery? Is it going to sit in a warehouse for three weeks, and if so why? And I really hope it doesn't get thrown around. (although computers in stores are also shipped, and that hasn't seemed to be a problem.)

My last laptop was an Acer Aspire, and if I hadn't killed it, I know it would still be giving me great service.
