Revolution Resources (RV-T) April 9, '14 has appointed Michael McPhie as executive chairman of Revolution. The company has also formed a strategic partnership with the highly respected JDS Mining and Energy Inc. ("JDS") to pursue the evaluation of advanced exploration and development opportunities. Mr. McPhie recently joined JDS as President of two new private entities, JDS Gold Ltd. and JDS Copper Ltd.

About Michael McPhie
Michael McPhie recently spent the last four years as President and CEO of Curis Resources Ltd. (CUV-T), a late development-stage copper Company, and has recently joined JDS, leading two subsidiaries, JDS Gold Ltd. and JDS Copper Ltd.. In a career spanning more than 20 years, he has been a senior executive with several Canadian mining and exploration companies leading the financing and development of projects on four continents. Michael also served as the CEO of the Mining Association of British Columbia (MABC) and a senior policy advisor with Canada's federal department of Natural Resources. He is also a director of several other public and private companies active in the Canadian minerals sector.
Michael is the recent past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia (AMEBC) and the Board of Governors of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Michael is a member of the BC Business Council, the Arizona Mining Association, a Director of the Britannia Beach Historical Society and an active member of the annual BC Children's Hospital "Mining for Miracles" campaign. Michael was previously acknowledged as one of Vancouver's Top 40 under 40 business leaders and was given an Award of Merit by the Government of Canada for his work in advancing constructive public policy for the Canadian mining industry.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical geography from Simon Fraser University, a Master's of Science degree in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University and is a registered Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) certified by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice. He is a strong advocate for responsible development, sustainability and good practice in business globally. |
