I don't have a subscription and I'm betting you don't, either. So, I haven't read the article and I don't think you have. But it has been well established for a very long time that private insurance losses are far smaller. In fact, even GOVERNMENT admits that Medicare's losses are 4x the total profits of the private insurance industry on an annual basis. Further, as part of their fraud control measures, government adopted use of the same software private companies have used for a decade because government recognized the scope of the problem.

And of course, anyone who has ever performed internal accounting control evaluations can see the gaping holes in Medicare and most state Medicaids (Medicaids are not all the same; some are operated better than others).

In short, one article which you haven't read does not counter my lyin' eyes.
