The bottom line is the human brain must be educated to work well. The more education the better it works and the more vision one has.

In science they call it knowledge directed perception (KDP) which says one cannot "see" something they do not understand. So the more one learns the more peripheral vision the minds eye has.

Recent studies at Stanford and Colombia verified by research and brain scans that on average when a rich kid (or academics kid I am sure) reaches two, the poor kid is operating at 18 months intellectually. At 5 the poor kid is operating at 3.

And the gap is caused by lack of verbal sophisticated interaction in the family. The rich kid hears millions of more words than the poor kid.

This is why I believe in free pre school at 2.5 years with hot meals for all kids in the nation.

Another study showed that head start kids put back $30 to $60 for every dollar spent on education based on increased productivity and less crime.
