Dennis, if you can listen to the Halcón Resources presentation by Floyd Wilson you will find it of interest (HK presented on day 2, and slides and the talk are in the link below):

In his talk, Wilson states that they have cracked the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale code and based on the stratigraphy of the TMS it appears to be an extension of the EagleFord play in which HK has the El Halcón acreage. They use a clay stabiliser choline chloride instead of the standard potassium chloride in the frac fluid, and this has been discussed here as a frac component in the past. The 3-4% smectite (form of clay) in the TMS tends to swell in the presence of water, and the choline minimizes swelling. They also use angular drilling to bore past the drilling/frac barrier zone to hit the TMS reservoir, prior to the horizontal drilling.
