I think religious people are able to adequately reconcile their beliefs to prevent a dilemma with their scientific views. Some people use science as a political wedge, or try to, but in general, as with Koan, you can quickly see through it once you realize their view of "science" is dependent on politics. Since science requires objectivity, their views of science degenerate to politics.

Which is the reason I always bring up Skinner in these conversations; because so much of liberalism is totally at odds with the science of Skinner.
