I have not used nfs in many years as my employer is mostly a Windows shop, I run all the Linux stuff.
I do use cifsutils to mount Windows Server shares on my Linux servers, the nfs-common package would be the NFS equivalent.
sudo apt-get install nfs-common cifsutils

The following can be very helpful:
help.ubuntu.com
ubuntuforums.org
ubuntuguide.org

For package versions and availability (I use this frequently in planning out server upgrades):
packages.ubuntu.com
