Hello Peter, Yes, I still check out this thread once in a while. Pretty quiet, huh? I'm afraid that this is an indication of what is happening to Parity Plus. Not keeping up with the competition.
I have been using P+ from WFWG3.11 into Win95 with no problems. Quite a marked improvement in speed with Win95.
I had my P+ manual out the other day, thinking of sending Paul an e-mail msg to see if upgrades were in the works. Doesn't sound promising.
I have limited time to do TA, so don't use the program to its capacity, I'm sure. Just do some basic charting. I look for stocks that are low in RSI and STOCH, with a rising price momentum, and good OBV/AD lines.
I get my data from QuotesPlus. They have a charting program, but it is pretty limited. I do like the Q+ scanning feature, moreso than the P+ scans. Q+ is now getting serious about charting, and are coming out with a 32bit program soon. It is already in Beta, and the testers are giving it rave reviews. The author is very accessible as well. If you are interested, there is an SI thread (TA-Quotes Plus).
I was hopeful that Paul might make P+ so that it could directly read the Q+ database, rather than having to convert the data to ASCII format first. Doesn't look like that's too likely either.
Well, I'm willing to share whatever I can, but it is probably pretty basic.
