By all means break out the sacred bread, wine & throw in a little feet washing to boot, talk of moonbeams. Gather all the other little moonbeams together to wonder whether this past year you've been naughty or nice before an imaginary deity.

After 3000-5000yrs of sustained warfares, rising & falling of kingdoms with endless tribal brutality & human subjugation, there would be a natural emergence of a more reflective philosophical mind as we began to see. They dreamed of peace, sought understanding, truth, justice, recognizing fair & equal treatment for lessor men, that respect & beneficial reciprocity.
Even the common man can eventually figure out that war begets war begets more war, this idea of "turning swords into plowshares" was probably an idea born in the mind of every farmer dating back to ancient Egypt, Summeria & Greece, just common wisdom, born of desparation, constant war but glimmers of hope. |
