I mostly agree with your analysis of the Iraqi war and who was running it behind the scenes and Powell's failure to do anything about it.

Listen I'm not saying "W" was a good President. I think he was largely clueless and out of his depth. I do take issue with this "evil" attribution that others here are trying to pin on him---unless they make the argument he was conning the American people as to the facts. (the whole WMD thing) They might have a case for that. Still I think it was mostly the work of others in the "W" Administration. Hard to know for sure. I also think there was something psychological going on with him on the Iraq issue in that he had to "best' his Father on it. Can;t prove this though.

I do think Jeb is of very different psychological make up than his brother. The "good son" as opposed to the wil and wooly hard drinking frat boy. Granted this kind of analysis is on very shaky ground. I'm not sure I could support it objectively.

Still I think the country benefits if he becomes a candidate as he will challenge some conservative mantras. For that alone I hope he gets into the race.
