It's a 2D,eh, inkjet printer.
First version grayscale.

But...

Very easy to imagine that they could put in something to accurately lift it (on the wheels and maybe have the wheels stick out like spider legs) and instead of ink cartridge, use 3D material like plastic ribbon.

A deal breaker for that would be power to run a 3D portable.
