But you are saying, are you not(?), that Bush deliberately went to war in order to profit for himself and his buddies. Where are the facts that support that allegation other than Bush's tenuous ties to some defense contractor 6 year prior to the war?

I will grant you that I agree that Bush and company entirely misread the Iraqi situation vis-a-vis 9/11. It was a BIG mistake. But if I understand you correctly that is not enough for you. You have a need, apparently, to make it seem like some "evil" plot. And that is what I object to in your argument. Why can't Bush be just a bumbling politician who made a BIG mistake? Why is this there apparent need to see him as a dark conspirator?

And you have got to admit, I think, that if you posit Bush into the darker side of the force then you have to do the same with LBJ. The evidence of deliberate misleading the American public on the plans for VN is overwhelming via the Pentagon papers and the miscasting of the Gulf of Tonkin incident as a provocation when in fact we were the provocateurs.

As to Jeb-- your argument is "Guilt by association"--- I mean apparently. But do yu have any evidence that Jeb is also of the dark conspirator ilk---I mean other than being a Republican politician. If that's the case then they are all sinners according to your way of thought.

And IMHO this is what is wrong with the American Republic these days. It's both sides casting each other as the bringers of Armageddon. We'll never get to meaningful legislation, which takes compromise, if that is the case. Which is why I am against this division of politics into the light and darkness.

I apologize for saying "Blah, Blah, Blah" I had a weak moment there. It is not a meaningful way to make one's point(s).
