James---I would like to tell you the story of a young, arrogant, intellectual, brillant anti-christian Jewish girl. She grew up in an intellectual, atheist pagan Jewish home. Her parents were against all notion of God.
The only religious requirements placed upon her by her parents was that she go through confirmation, a ritual similar to Bat Mitzvah, to satisfy the pressures of the community.
This little jewish girl went out into the world as atheist. She received fully pair scholarship to several of the best Universities.
One day, this jewish girl met a young non-jewish man from a christian background who shared her atheistic views. They fell in love and got married. They aspired to conquer the world with their intellect and their education.
About a year afte marriage, the young girl became seriously ill with an intestinal illness. The local doctors could not help. She began to seeking the best medical help available in the land. Her search led her to Chicago whrere she found Dr. Larson, considered the world's formemost expert on her illness. For brief periods, there was some improvement but soon the disease became much worst. For three years she had suffered and the disease was taken its toll. She had become suverely emciated weighing only 90 lbs. During one of her visit to the hospital for tests, Dr. Larson informed her that she found pre-cancerous cells and that she had about 6 month left to live. She returned home to prepare herself for death. Her atheism had never prepared her for this. Her and her husband could not believe that man , with all his science and technology, could do nothing. Everytime she went to the bathroom, she passed 1/2 a cup to a cup of pure blood. There was nowhere to turn. The terror of approaching death and the suffering kept her husbands stomach in knots.
One day while this little jewish girl was sitting on the toilet and her intestinal blood pouring from her body, she bagan to reason: If God is real, then by definition he made all things and certainly can fix all things. She lifted her eyes to heaven and said "God, if your their please help me" That simple prayer had astonishing consequences. Suddenly the ceiling opened up and she saw angels ascending and descending a ladder. She felt a force like a wind pushing against her stomach. She knew instantly that she had been healed and she knew that Christ was the healer.
She came out of the bathroom and told me that God had healed her and told me about the Angels and the ceiling. I told her the disease was affecting her mind--yes, she's my wife. She smiled and threw all her medicine away. I looked on in shock and disbelief.
She immediately began gaining weight and all her symtoms slowly disappeared. Then came her monthly protoscope at Dr. Larsons. She told the Dr. nothing at first and let her complete her tests. After the test, Dr. Larson said"honey, I have never seen anyting like this before. I have seen remissions before but your colon is all grown back with no sign of scare tissue. We have to say, this one is a miralce". My wife then told her of God"s healing.
This happened in l969 in Chicago, Ill.
My wife believed that no one could prove or disprove the existence of God. To her astonishment, she was proven wrong. She only needed a humble and a sicere and God opened reality to her heart, body and her mind.
My salvation is another story.
I pray that the Holy Spirit touches your heart and prepares you receive reality---Jesus Christ crucified for your sins that you may know the reality of God first hand.
