Chrome OS, meh. I looked into a Chromebook for my Mom but it wouldn't do Skype so it's relegated to a mere curiousity. And I'm too much of a curmudgeon to give it more attention than that, I'm not ready to live in the cloud although my primary browser is Chrome (aka chromium-browser on Ubuntu). In related stuff, my brother had built a FreeNAS some time ago and I decided to check out their progress. They have come a long way since being a fork of monowall, and offer a lot of features.... ZFS RAID, snapshots, and lots of useful plugins: freenas.org
