That is total nonsense. Of course the keep the lead. I saw it in my own kids.

But besides that. They took babies born in India but left before the age of 1 and compared their ability to learn Hindi as adults. The kids born in India were multiple of time faster to learn the language!!

Not at all. They learn, but the kids who don't go to preschool learn some to. More to the point both of them learn a lot after preschool and the net results are similar for both groups. Those that go to preschool get a bit of a "head start", but they don't keep their lead, it all works out about the same in the end (on the average, not for each and every individual).

At least that is what the best available science says about the issue.??
