Please, let's not forget that it's the drive margins that are razor
thin. The disk margins are much higher. In the future, as IO divests
itself of the drive business, and concentrates exclusively on the disks
and newer products, the margins should widen. The margins will widen
before that as the base of drives is installed, and the drive owners
find new uses for the disks. Let other companies earn the razor thin
margins, and IO keeps the disk profits.
