The liabilities can never be fully funded To do so bankrupts the entity that tries, like the Post Office These programs have, since their inception, been designed to be inter generational in nature You pay it forward What they do require is a robust, expanding economy A situation that is incompatible with an austerity program driven by revenue reduction so the pigs at the top can avoid carrying an appropriate share of the cost of the economic expansion Can't have it both ways ...why the oligarchy situation we are finding ourselves in is so dangerous to the vast majority of Americans The 1% would like nothing more than scrapping Social Security, Medicare and the ACA ..and they may get enough congressional clout to make it happen
