I convert everything using Handbrake primarily...usually .mp4. That allows me to put the movie on iPads/iphones and such.

Do you make separate conversions for iPad/iPhone than you do for streaming to the TV, or have you found a setting in Handbrake that looks good on all of them without creating huge files?

I think it's not a problem if you just want files with stereo sound, but when you to with surround sound audio in the .mp4, it really balloons the size. I have yet to find a good universal setting in Handbrake, so far I've had to make separate conversions.

Looking for "One setting to rule them all." (Lord of the Rings quote there)
