Ladies and Gentlemen, Run for the Exits. Qualcomm has never made money off selling phones. It has always maintained a welfare state on its Samsung royalty stream. It is not a technology leader and it even does not have the cross functional know-how and the engineering talent to pull off a manufactureable design. Just look at the last earning statement, without the royalty revenues this company would be 30 million in the Red. It is amazing the Samsung can take Qualcomm spec and build a phone and pay royalty to Qualcom and still make money, but these guyes can't even manage making a profitable phone to their own specification. Nokia and Ericson have better management and, are making money off selling phones and have real Bachelored Engineers with design and manufacturing experience, who developing their own CDMA technology, Nokia is doing this on their own back door and draining the few talent that Qualcomm has.
