The flyers are a clear stupid act as they are ridiculous.

IMHO it may indeed be done by the supporters of the Russians for several reason but this is speculation,

haaretz.com

The ex-Israeli soldier who led a Kiev fighting unit'Delta' has headed 'the Blue Helmets of Maidan' of 40 men and women - including several IDF veterans - in violent clashes with government forces.

So it may be a revengeful reason with an intimidation purpose, and possible driven by the fear that may be the "Blue Helmets of Maidan", will appear in Donetsk and be much more effective than the actual Ukrainian army

From a historic reason the part of Ukraine that the Russian now want in their control was part of the Khazar Empire who Sviatoslav son of Olga Rurik and his son Vladimir destroyed. en.wikipedia.org

"He subsequently destroyed the Khazar capital of Atil. [26] A visitor to Atil wrote soon after Sviatoslav's campaign: "The Rus' attacked, and no grape or raisin remained, not a leaf on a branch.""

The hatred of anything Jewish did not stop there and continued with Bohdan Khmelnytsky en.wikipedia.org.

In more recent history after WWI the Cossaks allied themselves with the White Army and Lev Davidovich Bronshtein establsihed the Red Army and Yuliy Osipovich Tsederbaum was a leader of the Menshevicks which only instilled more hatred toward Jews. Another famous Jew from Ukraine is the writer Solomon Naumovich Rabinovich - the "Jewish Mark Twain" whose statue is also in Kiev. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sholem_Aleichem

Many Russian claim that a big part of the Russian Jewery may be the descendants of the Khazars but no proof was provided.

Important to mention that during WWII there where Ukrainians that actively assisted in what is called the " Holocaust by Bullets" by itself a chain of horrific events with the most known event at Baby Yar near Kiev, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babi_Yar

To further antagonize the world against the new government in Kiev the Kremlin accused the Ukrainians of hatred toward Jews and persecution and Antisemitism which proved to be not only incorrect but presumably an intentional lie.

Therefore it is not surprising but sad that such a flier appeared.no matter who printed it.
