I am still using 2007 version.. Today, tried to catchup with some old transactions that I had never bothered to update.. I try to register a sell transaction of 1000 shares of a stock that is clearly shown as having bought and never sold but I am getting a create two transactions, one to sell what I own and one to create short sale..

So just to make sure the original buy transaction was properly registered, I edited it and registered it again but the same message when I try to register the sale..

So I tried selling all the shares in the account by ticking the box but then I am told, number of shares box can't be empty..

Any ideas ?
