Dennis:

I don't think that the Fed is going to mess with rates at least
until after the elections. The economy is humming along nicely
so they won't want to derail it.

However, a bunch of the Fed "Hawks" are agitating for a rate
increase of at least 1/4 to 1/2 so if they get into a deadlock
maybe they'll settle for 1/4 which shouldn't roil the markets too
much.

No, this sure isn't '87 and now the trading collars help a little
so we shouldn't see that kind of thing again.
