Thank you for the analysis. Let's assume that the distributors make 20%, and retailers make 25% (those figures are actually too high), and 25% for shipping(actually, products are shipped directly from the contractors to wherever directed by CPQ). The $579 cost is not real, because the cost of cd-rom, and HD are well below $100 per piece, so from there you will see that the profit margin of sub $1000 pcs are much higher than you calculation of 4% !!!!! Good Analysis !!!
