am pretty sure that unless and until all sides stand-down, we are headed to and shall arrive at a point of destination we do not wish to stay at

i am guessing that ...

(i) putin is certainly playing a game by his own rules, just-is rules, and it is not clear to me that any other strong russian leader, he who the russian population deem of leadership merit, would play the game any other way

(ii) obama / usa is used to playing a game by its rules, and those rules shall be shattered unless america is willing to stand-up and be counted, else counted out, for the dayz of unilateralism is no more

(iii) in the mean time we can count out the so-called nato, as that bunch of hodge podge nations attempting to maintain relevancy whilst holding tight to its colonial legacies are simply too soft and comfortable, and to polluted in terms of political will that they can do nothing of consequence vs mother russia

(iv) should 'nato' political will return to its constituent states, then more likely than not the same little beasts would jump out of the closet as they did 1914 / 1940

(v) in the mean time the germans must ask whether they are willing to fight for the americans over a problem instigated/ enabled / facilitated by the 'f&%^#1ck the eu' americans

(vi) doubtful the british have the stomach to fight anyone other than the argentines

(vii) dubious the french have the enthusiasm to strut towards moscow again after so many winters as opposed to patrolling south of the sahara

(viii) the dutch and others, and the poles? anyone counting on them then anyone shall lose w/i 24 hours of get-go

(ix) grand alliances are only useful if grand alliances can stay stable under stress, and if grand alliances are actually / operationally depended upon in such a way that its members are counting on complementarily (as opposed to supplementarity) then failure awaits

(x) big movements on way, is my guess

(xi) if kissinger is still in the game he would be visiting beijing, but now beijing is playing its own game by its own rules, and is not interested in playing the role of britain / france to anyone else

(xii) the age of peace dividends are no more

let us wait and see, watch and brief, and follow the progress of tyranny, spin, sabotage, false flag, sanctions, ethnic this and pogroms that, and the counters to same.

the opportunity to apply our learnings is now
