Some are uniquely Californian, but most of them are similar to those that are having an effect in other real estate markets. The solution would be simple if there were any Republicans in local government (namely, vote the bums out), but there aren't. Instead, this is a fundamental hypocrisy among California Democrats, that they enjoy the money even as they rail against the unequal distribution thereof. And that hypocrisy is not likely to change, at least not in the next 10 years. Tenchusatsu
