Ditto. I'm not ashamed to say they beat my expectations, since no one else got it right.

Some interesting stats:

Apples revenue is up roughly 4.25% quarter over quarter. Apple's stock price is up roughly 42% over last years price at this time.

  • 4x - The amount of web traffic generated by iPad users in comparison to Android devices. As in, all Android devices. Every single one combined.
  • 24 – The number of companies Apple has acquired in the past 18 months
  • 60% – The percentage of new iPhone 5c users who made the jump from Android
  • 62% - The percentage of users who switched from Android to the iPhone 4s. Yeah, that’s right. The iPhone from 2011.

Maybe the idiots who though the 5c was Apple's "attempt at a low price" iPhone, rather than a higher profit margin 2nd tier phone, will shut up. I doubt it though.

60% does vindicate their strategy though, IMHO. I always thought it was an excellent strategy.

I added the green lines to make the q-q in the graph below easier to see:

It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. I'm not sure the quarter was so strong at a 4-5% increase in sales and a little bump in gross margin. Good but not superlative.

Still along with the buyback and the split I can see Apple hitting 100 by fall. Cook's economic strategies seem solid. However we still don't know about Ive and the design shake up. The the product announcements will be dangerous.
