I wonder what share count was used in your article's calculation....

We know the money paid each share each year is 4 x $3.29 = $13.16.
Looking at the chart we see $11.74B to be paid out.
So, $11,740,000,000 / $13.16 = 892, 079, 260 shares (approximately) were used in the calculation.
